This thing is bigger than the both of us.
Since we can not deny it, we must work with it. Flow with it, and continue to feed it… and you!
July 10th, Sat. Somerville MA
Because you demanded it….
ONCE VEGETARIAN
it is little known that our food is largely vegetarian until we dump a big slab of something animal on it. We never use a lot of fats, and always focus on the best in seasonal veg, and finally it is a time of year when those things can stand up for themselves under ten courses of pressure. Baer’s beans will appear in a splendid veg protein, alongside the wonder that is Parker Farm veggies, and so much more $50 Multicourse dinner at 7pm
July 28th, Weds. Martha’s Vineyard
ONCEing the Vineyard
the land of the island grown, we can’t wait to see our friends and use their gorgeous meats and veggies to make delicious food for you. Will you be on the island, or know someone who is? Please spread the good word!
$75 Multicourse dinner at night, time TBD
August 8th, Sun. Cambridge MA
ONCE BBQ.3
in some kind of bid for the ultimate opportunity to overheat we will be attempting whole animals this year.
The grill will start churning out goodies at 5pm and go until it is gone, daddy, gone, which usually is well after dark. Parents are strongly encouraged to bring the kiddies early. Unencumbered grown ups are strongly encouraged to stroll in with something cold to share and to stay late.
$40 for eaters, really little people are no charge. Endless mixed grill from 5pm til about 10pm
We might make Tshirts this year. If that interests you it is more likely we will make them, if you tell us that it does… Right?
There are some things about ONCE that stay the same. They are:
Reservations, which are absolutely required and can be made by emailing me directly
The location, or the lack of it, which is emailed to confirmed guests the night before the event. These are private parties, and we need to know exactly how many people are coming, and exactly how much food to buy. Pretty much all the money you pay goes right back into the cost of production.
Boozy beverages, which by law we cannot provide, so you need to bring. We will happily provide you with an unlimited supply of local H2O
If you are not quite sure what this is all about, some friendly writers have put up some dandy posts about recent ONCEs on their blogs, check out these gems:
